UW Film Project 2008

The United Way Film Project 2008 has had a great start this year! Check out the future films page for information on the films that will be made this year. We learn more everyday so stay tuned as we continue to update the site. We will soon have all of the previous films available on our past films page.

Post-Produciton

It’s edit day and both groups are down at the studios in Toronto working with Studio M and Riddle Films. Are goal for the day is to cut our hour+ footage down to a five minute video. It is a great experience for everyone to be in the production environment that the pros are in every day.

Shooting

The shooting days were extremely successful! Both groups think that they got all of the footage that they needed to create their masterpieces. Check out the ‘Photos’ section to see some of the great pictures that we took throughout the day. The footage will now stay with the producers and they will starts cutting out all of the garbage so that we are ready for the edit day.

Writing Continues

We continue to fine tune our scripts and are currently arranging interview times with the people that we will feature in our films. We will also be interviewing the Mayor of Oakville Robert Burton.

Writing

We started writing the first draft of our scripts today and each group is off to a good start. Not only are we doing two short films but we will also be producing one or two short PSAs that will hopefully play in local movie theaters before the show.

Meeting the Agencies

Today, we met with the agencies who we hope to feature in the films. Whenever we go to the agencies it is always so inspiring. The people who worked for the agencies shared some amazing stories with us. It looks like this years films will be a great success already! Thank you very much to the United Way representatives that worked with us and the agencies to bring us all together.
